My #1 Tip to Help You Stay Motivated and On Track To Reaching Your Goals!
Hey dream chasers!
I could not launch my site without having at least one motivational post and having a Motivation section on my website. When you’re working hard to chase your dreams and crush your goals, let’s be real: the journey is not always easy, and we can get discouraged and just worn out at times. No matter what goal you’re working towards, my hope is that my blog will be a source of inspiration and motivation to keep you progressing onward and upward to success!
My #1 piece of advice to keep you motivated and on track to reaching any goal you’re working towards is to Remember Your Why! Why did you start? Why are you interested in this? What prompted your decision to pursue this goal? How did this goal arrive in your life? When answering these questions, you will remind yourself of why this goal is important to you in the first place. You’ll also remember how your life has taken you down a path arriving at this specific goal/interest. If you remember why you’re doing something and if your why is true, genuine, and passionate, that can always be the encouragement you need to keep going during times you’re ready to just give up.

For me, my career goal was always to become a doctor. Growing up, my biggest source of inspiration was my little brother, Nicholas aka NickNick. NickNick is the baby of the family (even though he is currently 19 years old) and is energetic, opinionated, and has a natural gift of helping others. He also was born with Down syndrome, which gave me a special outlook on science and how it can impact your everyday life and health. This blossomed into my desire to pursue developmental-behavioral pediatrics (aka to help kids and teens with developmental and/or behavioral concerns. After graduating undergrad, it took me three years before getting accepted into medical school. Did I want to give up? Yes. Was the process of getting accepted into medical school entirely too much? Definitely. But what kept me working towards my goal was my why. I always wanted more for my brother (and people with disabilities in general): more educational options, social activities, free resources, etc. This need in my community, in my state of Arkansas, and for my little brother (my why) was always more important than the hurdles and setbacks I encountered.
So, what’s your why? I challenge you to dive deep and not just identify your why, but also think about how you got there in the first place. What sparked your interest in this goal? How do you envision your outcome/destiny once you reach your goal and what will result from your success!
You got this! Just keep swimming!
xoxo,
Margaret Nicole
