Who wouldn’t want a gift that keeps on giving?! Subscription boxes make for awesome gifts for your significant other, friend, anyone who’s picky, or anyone who you just don’t know exactly what to gift. For that special person, a subscription can be a great option and make your Christmas shopping a lot easier. Often, you can just sign up online, enter their information, and have it shipped directly to them. It also takes out the guessing game and trying to figure out one exact gift. With a subscription box, they often receive multiple items, so they are bound to like at least one thing in the box. 

Below are different subscription options that many ladies enjoy separated by categories: clothing, hair products, makeup, and undies. There’s even a generic option below if you have no idea what to get. If she loves makeup, perhaps get one of the makeup subscriptions listed below. If she loves cute underwear, check out the undies section below. Also, keep in mind that you don’t have to buy a full year. Often, you can pay on a monthly basis and cancel at anytime, which I suggest if she has never tried the subscription before. This will provide her some flexibility in case she doesn’t want it for a full year or doesn’t like it.

Clothing

Stitch Fix– $20/month + any overage 

One subscription box that I always hear people rave about is Stitch Fix! With this subscription, you complete a style quiz based on the recipient’s style, pay $20/month, and then they receive items that match their style in the mail. The $20 goes towards purchasing the items you keep. If you keep over $20 worth of items, you pay that difference. Any items you don’t want, you simply mail back to Stitch Fix. They offer Women’s sizes 0-24W and plus, petite, and maternity. 

Hair Products 

CurlBox– $20/month 

Any woman with natural, curly, textured hair knows how expensive natural hair products can be. That’s when CurlBox comes to the rescue! They offer a monthly subscription box for $20/month that offers 4+ full size products in each box. Us naturals know how easy it is to spend $15-20 on just 1 full size product for some brands, so this is a steal! It’s a surprise every month- different brands and products. I have purchased a CurlBox before, which featured Pattern Beauty. This box included 4 full size products and 2 hair tools as shown in the image above. It was so nice and so worth it. I highly recommend CurlBox!  

Makeup

BoxyCharm– $25 – $35/month or $49.99/quarter

BoxyCharm is a monthly makeup subscription that allows you to try out new products and brands every month. They have 3 different box options, which vary by price, frequency, and number of full size items included (see below). 

• Regular- $25/month and 5 items
• Premium- $35/month and 6-7 items 
• Luxe- $49.99/quarter and 8+ items 

Ipsy– $12/month

I used to get Ipsy as a monthly treat for myself while I was in college! Ipsy is great for us gals that aren’t everyday makeup wearers and are on a budget. It’s only $12/month and provides you with new brands and products to try out. To sign up, you fill out a beauty quiz over the recipient’s beauty preferences and physical traits, then you receive a personalized bag of 5 deluxe sample beauty products in a reusable beauty bag. 

So which should you get, BoxyCharm or Ipsy? Both are great options! The biggest differences are price (Ipsy is cheaper) and product sizes (full sized products with BoxyCharm). If your special person is a makeup guru and frequently wears makeup, I’d suggest BoxyCharm, so she can have larger products. If she only wears makeup occasionally, Ipsy is a great option!  

Undies

Shopping for new undies just got easier and cuter! With Bootay Bag, all you have to do is select the recipient’s size (XS-XL), preferred underwear style (thong, cheeky, or both), and how many pairs she wants a month (1-4 pairs possible).
